A Job Safety Analysis (JSA), also called a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), is an effective safety risk identification and mitigation technique used to identify and mitigate the dangers of specific tasks in order to prevent the risk of injury to workers. JSAs/JHAs identify step-by-step how a job or work task is completed. All of the steps are listed in sequential order and safety risks are identified and mitigated.
